This Privacy Policy explains how WebDirection Pty Ltd (“WebDirection”, “we”, “us”) processes the technical data transmitted by SmartTags Pro when optional telemetry is enabled.

Your privacy is extremely important to us. We collect only the minimum required non-personal technical data.

1. What Data We Collect

The plugin may send limited information to our servers only if the Privacy & Telemetry toggle is enabled.

1.1 For License Server

  • Website URL

  • Domain fingerprint (hashed)

  • Plugin version

  • License key and status

  • Installation ID

  • Trial usage count

1.2 For Remote Config Service

  • Website URL

  • Domain fingerprint (hashed)

  • Plugin version

We DO NOT collect:

  • Personal names

  • Addresses

  • Email addresses

  • WooCommerce order data

  • Customer or product information

  • Payment details

  • User login information

  • Behavioural or analytics data

  • IP addresses (other than hashed fingerprints if needed)

  • Cookies

2. Why We Collect These Data

We use the data for:

  • License activation

  • Trial usage validation

  • Preventing trial abuse

  • Enforcing site limits

  • Ensuring update eligibility

2.2 Remote Config & Prompt Templates

  • Delivering updated AI models

  • Delivering updated prompt templates

  • Maintaining compatibility and quality

  • Ensuring plugin can work without updates

We never use the data for advertising, marketing, profiling, or selling.

3. Legal Basis

We process the data based on:

  • Legitimate interests (fraud prevention)

  • Contractual necessity (license validation)

  • User consent (telemetry toggle)

4. Data Retention

We retain technical licensing data:

  • For the duration of your active license

  • Up to 12 months after expiration for anti-fraud protection

  • Immediately delete upon verified request

Remote Config access logs may be stored for short-term debugging.

5. Your Choices & Rights

You may:

  • Disable telemetry at any time (plugin works offline)

  • Request deletion of your installation data

  • Request a copy of your stored technical data

  • Uninstall the plugin at any time
